Executive Director, Paul Heimer
Paul Heimer was named the Executive Director of the United Way of Albany County in August of 2011. Prior to that, he served as Executive Director at the Albany County Public Library Foundation starting in 2005. During that time he was part of the Leadership Wyoming class of 2010, and served on the Wyoming Library Association’s Legislative Committee from 2006- 2011 and co-chaired their annual lobby day for three years. Paul was a member of the Board of Directors of Interfaith-Good Samaritan from 2010-2011, and is a member of the Laramie Rotary Club.
Paul moved to Wyoming in 2004 from Alexandria, Virginia. In Virginia, Paul worked at a number of homeless service organizations over a 15 year period in a variety of capacities including Program Director, Director of Development, and Executive Director. He also served on a number of non-profit boards of directors.
Campaign Assistant, Samantha Brant
Samantha moved to Laramie in 2012 to pursue her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology and Health Promotion. During her time as a undergraduate she found a passion for community and public health which lead her to begin the Cowboy Food Sharing project. During the course of this project she worked closely with the Laramie Soup Kitchen, United Way, and the Residents Life and Dining department at the University of Wyoming. After 3 long years the project was passed in 2015 and the University began to re-purposes and donate excess food the the Laramie Soup Kitchen. Samantha was also an executive in numerous student lead organization such as Phi Epsilon Kappa and Cardinal Key Honors Society. While working with these organizations she has had many opportunities to volunteer and plan fundraising events within the Laramie community.
After graduating in May 2016, she was hired as the Campaign Assistant for United Way of Albany County. She plans to continue her education and passion for public health with a dual master’s in Community and Public Health and MBA.
Volunteer IT Coordinator, Brad Kovach
Brad moved to Laramie in 2011 to pursue his Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science, and has worked with the United Way of Albany County since that time. Brad oversees the smooth operation of email, printers, computer workstations and the website. He also provides IT setup and support for the VITA Tax Program. Brad oversees the United Way of Albany County’s open source projects, like Civique for WordPress and ServiceSpark. Since 2013, Brad has provided logistical support to The Big Event at The University of Wyoming.
In May 2014, Brad received his BS in Computer Science and now works full-time as an IT Development Analyst for Underwriters Laboratories in Laramie, Wyoming.
